It is an edible seed that contains healthy omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, protein, antioxidants, and all that good stuff. Since they are unprocessed, they make a great whole-grain addition to any diet. Tips to Avoid Acne

According to research from Brown University, approximately 17 million in the U.S. have acne. With a number that high, it may seem impossible that anyone is able to avoid acne. Hey, I guess they say it happens to the best of us, right? We’ve put together some helpful tips that may help you avoid being another statistic. View image | gettyimages.com Cleanse. It doesn’t matter if you have acne or not- everyone needs to wash their face. Your face may not even seem dirty, but over the course of the day oil, dirt, and bacteria build up. Start every morning with a fresh face and don’t go to bed before taking everything off. Use a mild cleanser, warm water, and a fresh clean towel- using an old towel will spread bacteria. Overwashing may be harmful, so try to keep your routine to twice a day, or after activities like going to gym or cooking in a hot kitchen. Moisturize. “Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!” Some people think moisturized skin will lead to acne- but that is not the case. Keeping your skin well moisturized maintains oil balance and prevents breakouts. Look for an oil free or “noncomedogenic” (which means, unlikely to cause acne) moisturizer. Prevent. Only you can prevent breakouts! Look for products that contain benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, or lactic acid, which curb bacteria and dry excessive oil from skin.
